The ordinary urinal basically does not need power as it’s manual. But if it is inductive, because it needs to support the use of induction components (sensor and solenoid valve), so the induction urinal power supply is undoubtedly a thing, but some friends are not very clear about the induction urinal power supply. What kind of power does it use to sense the urinal and what’s the sensor urinal power supply? We will give you a brief introduction through the article.
Marked DC – Direct Current
If you see words like “DC6V/4 No. 5 alkaline batteries” on the manual, then you can also understand that this product is batteries operated, that is, the comparative term of direct current power supply. Then if the power runs out, we can replace the batteries and continue to use the urinal. In general, when the battery is to low voltage, which means the batteries are not sufficient to support sensor and solenoid to work, there will be an undervoltage reminder on the sensor eye. The sensor LED will continuously be flashing to remind the users of replacing with new ones.
Marked as AC – Alternating Current
Sometimes we can find the label “AC 220V/50Hz” on the manual, so it is obvious that this urinal is using alternating current, we can achieve the purpose of starting the induction urinal by plugging in the power directly. Under normal circumstances, the product will be equipped with a transformer to convert 220V electricity into a specified voltage, for example 6V, to achieve the purpose of stable operation of the induction urinal.
For Rajeyn automatic urinal, there are three options.
Option 1: DC6V power supply–4*AA alkaline batteries
Option 2: AC220V power supply–AC transformer
Option 3: DC6V & AC220V power supply–Both batteries and transformer
Most of the customers prefer both DC and AC. How does it work then? Usually, the sensor urinal is powered by AC main power. But the batteries will automatically switch on if the main power is failed, which will 100% make sure that the urinal sensor will work perfectly even if there’s no main power. By the way, Rajeyn sensor is quite low power consumption, and the batteries will last at least two years based on 3000 circles per month.
