Sensor urinal or automatic flush/flushometer is a feature that is available for toilets and urinals. Its basically comes with an infrared sensor that can identify when someone is standing in front of the urinal and has moved away, it then activates the flush system. You will more commonly find them in workplaces and public restrooms since it’s no touch and much more hygiene.
Urinal sensors are quite popular in market now, especially in public places. But how does a urinal sensor work? The urinal sensor is connected to a solenoid valve that is plumbed directly into the urinal water feed pipe. The infrared sensor detects movement within the vicinity of the urinals and subsequently allows a small amount of water to fill the urinal bowl. Similarly, someone call this infrared sensor as PIR sensor. It’s the same thing. This valve automatically manages the water supply to the urinal cistern and reduces water consumption by up to 80%. The PIR sensor detects movement and activates the solenoid valve, allowing water into a urinal cistern.
Although there are many different brands and models of urinals, there are only two basic types: trough urinals and bowl urinals. Rajeyn’s urinal sensors are used for bowl urinals. Models like RJY-22-S102 applied to the urinal bowl with water spreader while RJY-22-P101 applied to the urinal bowl without water spreader since RJY-22-P101 has this spreader in its own sensor plate. This design is more and more popular now as the urinal bowl design is quite nice like below picture. You will find a page in our web having specified introduction for this model.
This is the general information for urinal sensor. Any questions or enquiries for the urinal sensors kindly send emails directly to sj.peng@rajeyn.com or contact Jo at +86-15060017331 for more details. Thank you.
