Touchless faucets are designed to simplify installation by professionals. Read our list to make sure your next touchless faucet installation runs as smoothly as possible.
Steps for Installing a Sensor Faucet in your kitchen:
1. Shut off the water supply – Before you can start work on the faucet, first to locate the main water valve and close it. In the next step, run all the hot and cold to drain any water in the system. Doing this ensures the dry surface and there is no room for a lot of spillage during installation.
2.Install sensor kitchen faucet
A. For 1-hole sink, insert the O-ring over the cable and hoses, put them through the mounting holes on the sink, and then tighten the nut.
B. For 3-hole sink, insert deck plate over the cable and hoses through the mounting holes on the sink and aligning the grooves in the deck plate with the arches on the faucet bottom, and then tighten the nut.
3.Install the control box.
Mount the control box under the sink, preferred mounting distance from control box to the spray hose is 250mm, to the floor is 450mm.
Then connect the water inlet hose to the corresponding water inlet point on the control box. Repeat the same process for the outlet pipe (your water supply).
4.Put A Weight On The Spray Hose Under The Sink
For faucet models with a pull-out spray, you’ll need to install a weight on the hose under the sink.
This weight will ensure that the sprayer is pulled back into place after you have pulled it out for use.
5.Connect the sensor – the sensor cable must be connected from the faucet to the control box. When done, open the battery compartment and insert the appropriate battery. Overall, most sensor faucets come in AA battery configurations with excellent backup power.
6.Test – Turn the water supply back on at the mains, turn on the faucet handle and wave your hand over the sensor, water flows and water stops when you wave again. The water temperature changes by manipulating the handle. Run the water and it will stop automatically in 3 minutes. Check for leaks.
7.For manual operation, turn the knob beneath the control box counter-clockwise to the end. The sensor will be disabled and the faucet will be operational by the handle only.
One of the coolest features of the faucet direct kitchen sink is adaptability in both power modes. That is to say the when both power modes are connected, it will work on AC & if there is a power failure it will switch to DC automatically.
