A sensor faucet control box (included in most sensor faucet package like RJY-11-B101AD and RJY-11-B107AD) is a square box that sits or mounted underneath the sink as part of a typical sensor electronic faucet installation process. Most of our sensor faucets range come with a control box, except our 2-IN-1 series range such as RJY-11-B204D and RJY-11-B201D. Rajeyn has different control boxes for both basin and kitchen faucets. Today we will have brief introduction of control box RJY-K06 for touchfree basin faucets.
The basin faucet control box is like a hub which enables water to flow IN (from main water supply) and OUT (to sensor faucet). When you open up a control box, you will find a solenoid valve, battery case/transformer (adapter) and infrared signal wire connection.
Following three main components are included in the control box
1) Solenoid valve
A solenoid valve is a device that allows or restricts water from passing through it. It has a built-in magnetic latching valve that opens and closes whenever an electric signal is sent or received from the infrared sensor.
2) Battery Pack
The battery case holds 4 pieces AA alkaline batteries, which means DC 6V voltage. The battery can be used in conjunction with the Main power supply. For example, if the power goes, the DC battery power will automatically take over. The battery should last up to 2 years on an average usage of 3000 cycles per month (Av. 100 cycles a day). Or there’s a transformer/adapter.
3) Wires for Connection
There are wires connecting power supply and sensor as well as solenoid and sensor. The sensor cable is connected to the solenoid valve (to receive signals from the infrared) and to the power supply in order to get necessary current needed for activation.
