What sensor is used in urinal flush valve? Along with the standard pressure of water, this product uses an infrared sensor to detect movement and auto-flush after each use. And How does a urinal sensor work? The urinal sensor is connected to a solenoid valve that is plumbed directly into the urinal water feed pipe. Automatic urinal flusher uses active infrared sensor technology which uses the emission and reception of infrared beams to detect the presence and movement of objects or people in their field of detection. When the sensor detected the body, it is ready to work. When people leave, it flushes water automatically. Usually, the sensor range is 45-60cm for human body.
With a fully-automatic sensor urinal, you can successfully upgrade your bathroom to its best. With urinal sensor, you can improve and maintain your washrooms’ hygiene and safety. On the one hand, it reduces the rate of exchange of germs and diseases from one user to another. On the other hand, it also eliminates the need for any kind of physical contact with the machine to make it function. Briefly speaking, the urinal sensor contributes to the overall hygiene of the washroom since it is a very eco-friendly product and lowers the consumption as well as the wastage of water.
Different people prefer different types of sensor urinals. And different urinals have their own applications. Generally, there are two different types of urinal sensors can be installed in two different ways. No matter if you are about to make a brand new washroom or are looking forward to installing a sensor urinal in an existing one, we Rajeyn have options for selection.
Option 1: If you are looking forward to installing sensor urinals right during the time of construction of your washroom, then you should definitely go with the Concealed Sensor Urinal (also called Recessed Sensor Urinal Flusher). The Concealed Urinal Flusher is a type of recessed urinal sensor. This type of sensor is usually installed while the construction of the concerned washroom is being carried out or planned (not yet existed). This is necessary as the urinal sensor is supposed to be placed behind the wall in order to conceal it from general eye vision.
Option 2: If you are looking forward to installing a sensor urinal in an existing washroom where there is no provision of installing a concealed/ recessed one due to the lack of space, then you should go with the Exposed urinal flush. Similar to how a concealed urinal flusher operates, an exposed urinal flusher also detects movement and is mounted on the wall, but the only difference is that this sensor urinal is installed on the exterior part of the wall. This is one that is primarily used in old and worn out washrooms where there is no scope for any more construction or space to install a recessed urinal sensor.
Clearly, the concealed/ recessed urinal sensor looks more classy than the exposed one; but in times of need, the exposed urinal sensor also serves the purpose it is installed for. In both cases, a sensor urinal is a must product to have in any washroom so as to promote touchless functioning and maintain a hygienic environment for all.
