Description
As the most important part, the work of the sensor is to forward the signals to the valve to turn on the faucet after detecting your hand. Its job is to inform the valve when to start or stop the flow based on the presence or absence of your hands. It has either infrared light or ultrasonic sensors. In most cases, infrared lights sensors are often placed at the faucet body. The sensor RJY-MB is suitable for touchless bathroom faucet, automatic commercial faucet and urinal flush valves.
Infrared Sensor Applications
The infrared sensor is widely used in public washrooms, such as touchless faucets, automatic urinal flusher, automatic toilet flusher and automatic soap dispenser. The infrared sensors can be also used for touchless kitchen faucets and bathroom faucets. Although they are still optional in homes today. But eventually in the future, they will become a simple commonality for modern homes.
Working Principle
Active infrared touchless sensors use the emission and reception of infrared beams to detect the presence and/or movement of objects or people in their field of detection. The technology is ideal for applications requiring a long and narrow detection range.
The sensor eye RJY-MB is widely used for automatic commercial sensor basin faucets, wave on/off sensor water taps, medical places touchfree faucets and automatic sensor urinal/toilet flush valves.
Function 1: Automatic on/off. This is the regular function for touchfree basin faucets and water dispenser/fountains. You put your hands/water bottle on the sensor range, water automatically flows. You remove your hands/water bottle out of the sensor range, water automatically stops. The water will automatically stop flowing if continuously flowing for 60 seconds (We call this function security stop timing and this timing can be customized).
Function 2: Wave on/off. This function is good for automatic medical faucets, touchless kitchen faucets and water dispenser/fountains. You wave the sensor, water automatically flows and you wave the sensor again, water automatically stops. This function also includes security stop timing and this timing can be customized, too like automatic sensor.
Function 3: Urinal function Pre-flush 2s and after flush 6s.The urinal conducts TWICE flushing for every usage. When a person stands in the sensing range for 2 seconds, the indicator light in infrared sensor flash once, the urinal will auto flush for 2s (before usage); 2s after the person leaves, the urinal will automatically flush for 6s. The urinal will automatically flush ONCE if no usage within 24hours.
